I didn’t have a lot to do until my dinner date last night which was with a school teacher from one of the local grade schools, pretty lady that likes to read the same type of novels as myself, we actually met in the library of all places. But I digress. As I was saying, there wasn’t much to do so I sat down, opened a beer and started flipping through the channels when I came upon TNA Wrestling. There was this one big gal they called “Awesome Kong”, and she looked it too, but the match she had with some alleged “pro-wrestler” was hilarious to watch as this huge woman warrior type tossed this poor other gal all over the place, throwing her through the air and the whole nine yards. What got me was that I just couldn’t stop laughing about it, it was the funniest thing I’d seen in a long time. A good laugh can go a long way these days.

More last minute changes for Thanksgiving

We were not expecting to see my brother, his wife and daughter today for the annual Thanksgiving dinner at my folks place. My mother just called to say that he had just called and stated that their had been some last minute changes in their plans and that they would be heading out the door shortly to hit the road in an effort to make an appearance and stay for dinner with the rest of the clan.

Mother of course is frantic, with 3 more people coming that puts a kink into all of her seating arrangements, but she isn’t concerned at all with the amount of food, there is always way too much food left at the end of the evening, so three more eating won’t make a difference in the meal what so ever.

My brother’s daughter is my “favorite niece that I speak so fondly of now and them” and I’m glad to get the chance to see her and spend some time together any chance that I can get. And enjoying mom’s good home cooking, makes it all the better!

Good-bye to the 2008 Olympics

Last night was the end of another very exciting and eventful Olympics, and now we must wait another 4 years to the next one to come around. The 2012 Olympics are scheduled to be held in London, England, and I hear that work has all ready started in London to prepare for this huge event and that concerns are being raised about how it all will be paid for.

It will take a while for all of the excitement to die down, but for now, all of the news programs will be interviewing the participants in depth, so that we can hear all of the inside scoops that most folks will be sitting on the edge of their seats to hear.

To buy or to sell

One of my girlfriends is now looking for Horses for Sale. She tells me that since she spends so much time flying between here and Austrailia, and since she has a country home in both places that came with horse stalls and paddocks, she thought the most logical thing to do would be to obtain a couple of horses! She’d keep one here in the states and the other back home in Australia. Point being we came across this site called simpletrade.com.au while we were horse hunting online and found it to be a great tool for locating just about anything you can imagine. Not only does it appeal to the buyer for it’s ease of use factor as well as it’s diverse categories of items for sale, trade or even rent, but to the seller as well, as a fabulous tool for the merchant and even the regtular citizen that has the need to advertise. My lady friend wound up buying quite a few things. But it’s what she brought with her that I’m interested in. Long legged flight attendant with “nighties”! Yes sir, it is good to be me!
