I’ve seriously contemplating on purchasing some type of RV. It has been a long while since I’ve done any serious traveling and I’m starting to feel the itch of hitting the road. The Internet is full of RVs for sale and I’m having a hard time deciding what kind of RV to get. But whatever I decide on I will need to check into some rv financing since paying cash for this type of purchase is just not in the cards at this point.
I guess I never thought of my kid brother to be the type to spend so much of his time behind the wheel of a large sized eighteen wheeler, but apparently he has decided to start looking for truck driving jobs via the Internet. He has all ready taken all the classes necessary and has gotten the proper licenses in order to do so.
Even in today’s economic struggle, there are a lot of “drivers wanted” ads to pick from and he has been spending a good amount of time checking them all out to see which company would be best suited for his needs and wants. It is a good thing that he has an understanding wife that will tolerate his absence while trucking on down the road. They don’t have any kids so that isn’t an issue. I don’t think that if they did have kids that he would even consider such a move. Kids need their Dads around and being a truck driver would take him away from their needs way too much. It is bad enough having to leave his new bride behind each long distance trip. Who knows maybe she will consider tagging along once in a while in order to be with him more as well as seeing parts of the world that she would never get the opportunity to see by staying home all the time.
Nothing much to do but wait it out and keep checking in on FaceBook to see how things are progressing with friends and family with the hurricane and surf the Internet. The TV is nothing but coverage on the hurricane and I’ve had my fill of that for the day.
One of the cars that most guys would love to be able to afford to drive around in is the Jaguar. What a classy looking car, inside and out. I mean even the jaguar rubber mats are something to gaze at, not something that I would normally get all that excited about, but it just amazes me to see just how fine this classic car really is. A guy can dream can’t he?
I guess my plans to hit the beach before the Labor Day weekend are shot due to Hurricane Irene’s arrival. I guess it is better than coming the following weekend when so many people have made plans to celebrate the end of the summer season, but then again, will there be any beaches left after all of this is done and over with? What a crazy way to end the summer.
Something that just drives me crazy is seeing some one on a motorcycle that isn’t wearing the correct riding gear. The absolute worst offenders are the ones that are wearing tennis shoes instead of the Motorcycle Riding Boots that are designed to protect the foot and ankle. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen this and I just want to jerk them off of their bike and give them a good shaking. And don’t even get me started on the ones that I see wearing the full face helmet and their black leather gloves, while going down the road in a wife beater t-shirt and shorts. Those fools don’t even have a clue.
