Myrtle Beach – It’s All Good

I hear that people that want to go to the beach have found themselves in dire straights due to BP’s issues with their oil crisis and that the Myrtle Beach best hotels are booking up very quickly. The east coast is such a mess so I’m glad that at least Myrtle Beach is now thriving. I have always enjoyed North Myrtle Beach to visit and get some nice golf games in when I’m there enjoying all that the beach has to offer.

At this point I would definitely utilize the Internet to find a Myrtle Beach hotel that has vacancies for this season. A great website to use is http://www.horizonmyrtlebeach.com, I have used it in the past and it has always been a great resource for my needs and wants. I’ve been going to Myrtle Beach since I was a kid. My family got us kids into golf at very young ages and we always had a blast on family vacations when it came to having water activities and golf.

I’m glad that Myrtle Beach is now getting some hard core visitors, they have been advertising very heavily these past couple of years since people have been cutting down on their expenses, thanks to our government and the economic issues that have impacted so many of us.

Rain

Monday, July 19th, 2010 | Travel/Auto, life, weather | No Comments

Well we finally are getting ourselves a bit of rain. It has been so dry here that people have been starting to freak out. I just wish that I had rolled my car windows up last night! It wasn’t too awfully bad, they were not all the way down and we aren’t getting a hard rain. But even a light shower will help at this point and time.

Golfing at Myrtle Beach

Myrtle Beach golf packages are very well known for giving you the best bang for your buck. Not only do you get to enjoy all that Myrtle Beach has to offer, but you get to play on some of the best golf courses on the east coast. As a youngster around the age of 8 I was taught the game of golf by my parents. The whole family spent many a day on golf courses all over the east coast and I always enjoyed the Myrtle Beach golf courses the best.

My parents are looking into taking a long weekend sometime after Labor Day and have invited me along and they have asked me to look into finding a good deal on the Internet as well as asking for my input on where we should go. Of course the first place that came into my mind was Myrtle Beach, so I have been focusing on looking online to see what Myrtle Beach has to offer these days. Since it will be after Labor Day, the crowds will not be so bad and the prices will be a bit easier to swallow.

So far http://www.myrtlebeachgolf.net has gotten my vote for the best site for information that we are looking for, so I have forwarded the link to my folks email for them to check and see if it is of interest to them as well. It has been a long time since we have been to Myrtle Beach, I’m sure things have changed a bit and I hope that they do indeed choose Myrtle Beach and that the weather is decent during the time that we are there. Bad weather can screw up the best laid out plans ya know.

So Many Choices

Amazing how we have such a large variety of vehicles to choose from these days. I can’t imagine going from car dealership to car dealership to find the information needed in order to make the best choice when in the market to purchase a new vehicle. That task could take weeks and possibly months, depending on where you live.

I have been thinking of purchasing a new vehicle in the near future, just haven’t made the final decision yet. I’m grateful for the Internet with sites such as thecarconnection.com that has a great amount of information on a great variety of vehicles that are now available to the public. I’ve heard good things about Hyundai, so I’ve checked out the hyundai veracruz and the hyundai elantra, both good pieces of transportation, but then I saw an article about the chevy equinox and gave that some serious consideration for some time. So many choices it can be mind boggling I’ll tell you that!

My Dad is pushing me towards a volvo s80, volvo has a great reputation and all but I just don’t see me behind the wheel of one at this point. Maybe one day, thanks anyway Dad.

An Interesting Alternative to Traditional Tours.

This is only the month of June and we have all ready experienced one heck of a heat wave. It seems we went straight from a horribly hard winter to an outrageously hot and humid summer. We didn’t even get a taste of and decent Spring weather for heaven’s sake. People are grumpy and looking for relief. Getting to a better climate is on a lot of people’s minds right now. The idea of going abroad, somewhere like London, Ireland or Paris sounds delicious at this point.

I have a co worker that is planning a get-a-way to Europe and has been using the Internet to plan the whole adventure. He is looking into London walking tours, using a website contexttravel.com which caters to people who are intellectually curious and enjoy things like a London private tour or perhaps a nice Paris private tour. These are just a few of over 300 different walks in over 12 cities such as Athens, Boston, Florence, Istanbul, London, Madrid, Naples, New York, Paris, Philadelphia, Rome, Venice. As you can see they are all around this world. It’s an awesome site, one that we all have been looking at over the past several weeks since he discovered it. There is some good stuff going on there folks. A site to check out some time.
