Anyway I’ve found an awesome website at http://www.ttimesonly.com/ that good information about great prices for the hotel and golf packages. If I had to choose which part of Myrtle Beach I’d prefer, I’d have to say the North side, but there really is so much all over that area that you can get the best of most things all over. A nice cool game of golf sounds like a plan to me.

I used to go to Myrtle Beach with my family, back in the day. We all enjoyed the golf courses in that area and all the other things that Myrtle Beach has to offer. It has been a few years since I’ve been there and I can’t wait to see how much is still the same, yet I’m sure that there has been a good amount of change as well. Hopefully it’s all good. The Grande Shores Resort advertises Southern hospitality and that sounds good to me!

At this point I would definitely utilize the Internet to find a Myrtle Beach hotel that has vacancies for this season. A great website to use is http://www.horizonmyrtlebeach.com, I have used it in the past and it has always been a great resource for my needs and wants. I’ve been going to Myrtle Beach since I was a kid. My family got us kids into golf at very young ages and we always had a blast on family vacations when it came to having water activities and golf.

I’m glad that Myrtle Beach is now getting some hard core visitors, they have been advertising very heavily these past couple of years since people have been cutting down on their expenses, thanks to our government and the economic issues that have impacted so many of us.

These days most people have to pay for the TV and we have so many choices available to us due to it. I have had satellite for some time now and am happy with it and all the specials that they offer me each month. My most enjoyment comes from the sports Dish specials, especially come football season. There is nothing better than being able to watch any football game that you want to see from the comfort of my own home, with a nice cold six pack, plenty of muchies and as many friends that I can entice over to my place to enjoy the action right along with me. To watch any game in person would cost to much money and the crowds would be getting on my last nerve, and all of the traveling and parking issues that would go along with it – way over the top for this guy!

There are a few cable specials that my buddy invites me over to watch over at his place, which isn’t too far away. We try and work it out between us in order to get the best out of both options. It works out well most of the time. Plus it gets me out of the house when I get into my hermit mood every now and then.

To this day, four years later, I still enjoy watching soccer on TV. Watching a good soccer game at a sports bar, full of other soccer fans is one of the most exciting times in sports to me. With so many people that are so passionate and fanatic about soccer, it’s hard to not get excited about what is going on. The atmosphere around the sport is like no other. I recently started watching the 2010 World Cup on my satellite TV and I still enjoy it today just as much as I did with my fanatic friends four years ago.

My parents are looking into taking a long weekend sometime after Labor Day and have invited me along and they have asked me to look into finding a good deal on the Internet as well as asking for my input on where we should go. Of course the first place that came into my mind was Myrtle Beach, so I have been focusing on looking online to see what Myrtle Beach has to offer these days. Since it will be after Labor Day, the crowds will not be so bad and the prices will be a bit easier to swallow.

So far http://www.myrtlebeachgolf.net has gotten my vote for the best site for information that we are looking for, so I have forwarded the link to my folks email for them to check and see if it is of interest to them as well. It has been a long time since we have been to Myrtle Beach, I’m sure things have changed a bit and I hope that they do indeed choose Myrtle Beach and that the weather is decent during the time that we are there. Bad weather can screw up the best laid out plans ya know.

The difference between the teams in the last century versus the Nationals today is that ticket prices are much higher today than they were a century ago to see a baseball game. When you factor in the cost for a family of four like mine to attend a baseball game, it’s a much larger portion of the paycheck. Watching the game on direct tv packages has thankfully given us another option to see the Nationals make history. Between Strasburg and the other young players we have coming up through the minor leagues, it’s a very promising time to be a fan of the Washington Nationals.

Hopefully the “baseball gods” will see to it that we fall on the right side of history this time.

I’ve heard that there are plans being made out there for some of us to get together some time in the early fall to stay at one of the Myrtle Beach Accommodations that have great golf packages at some pretty awesome courses that they are so well known for. The Prince Resort has a good reputation and is located right on the water, I like that. There are so many Myrtle Beach Resorts these days, the Internet will most definitely be helpful in finding the right Myrtle Beach Accomodations that will have all the things that we are looking for.

I’m hoping that which ever Myrtle Beach Resort that is decided on is in the North Myrtle Beach are. The Prince Resort is located in that part which is so serene and right on the ocean.  I’ve always like the north side best and try to find my accommodations there when ever I go to Myrtle Beach. Some good memories from that place.

I’m curious as to who all will be attending this event. People’s lives are pretty screwed up right now due to the economy. But with a little bit of planning we just might have a good turn out. I’m looking forward to it. Now if I could get some fishing in as well I’d be in heaven!
