There really isn’t many things in life better than a good cigar. I was never into smoking cigarettes, but a good cigar and a cold beer in front of my big screen TV with a football game on is about as close to heaven as I’ll ever get, I imagine. I picked up the perfect gift for my eldest brother today. He is an avid camper, they go camping more than anybody else I’ve known, and he has needed a new stove. So I found one of the Jetboil stoves that he has been talking about, hope it is the right kind. Guess I’ll find out in 13 days, Christmas morning at the folks place.

Wanted: Reliable House Cleaner

I only need someone to come in every other week and give the place a nice cleaning, it isn’t a big home and I’m not a slob so it isn’t that hard of work for someone with the right touch. I really miss the woman that had been doing this for me for several years, Mrs. Robinson, she worked out very well, honest, thorough, reliable, hard working, responsible and she wasn’t hard the eyes either. But she had to move out of state a while back, to be closer to her kids and grandchildren and I haven’t been able to find anyone yet who has been even close to filling her shoes.

One of my buddies told me that I should go online and find a company that offers topless house cleaning services, which at the time I laughed at the suggestion, but I have to be honest with you and tell you that I did go on the Internet to see if there is a company that provides this type of service around these here parts and found one that offers house cleaning service cary nc. I am usually home when the scheduled cleaning is to take place, I have learned to just stay out their way and there isn’t ever a problem.

Might as well shoot big when the opportunity arrives, right? Each year my folks ask me and my other sibling what they would wish to find under the Christmas tree at their house. Some years it can be a challenge trying to figure out something that I really would like and be able to use as well as something that is affordable.

This year I’ve decided to ask for one of the metal detectors garrett style. Who knows, I just might wake up and find one under the tree this year, stranger things have been know to happen on Christmas morning. And I’ve wanted to go metal detecting for a long time.

Indian Summer is here

This is my favorite time of year, when Indian Summer comes around and spoils us with the world’s best weather conditions for a week or two. This is what I call leather weather, perfect motorcycle riding conditions, other than the wet leaves that can make those two wheels a bit slippery if not paying correct attention at the time.

I am going to try and take advantage of this most wonderful weather and spend as much time as I can outside enjoying as much as I possibly can. The cold, wet winter weather is just around the corner, and that is not something that I am looking forward to, come what may.

Christmas Is Fast Approaching

Seems that the family is up in arms over the up and coming Christmas holidays that are fast approaching us. Faster than I can to think. These pats few years have really taken it’s toll on everyone, there isn’t a single soul that I know that hasn’t been struggling, struggling hard due to the economy in such turmoil, and the news isn’t all that promising that things will change any time soon.

You see the family has been wanting to check into some travel books and online sites that will assist with planning a family get a way during the long holiday breaks that most of us get to enjoy. The kids in the family have really been looking forward to spending time with relatives that they don’t get to see very often. They have all been pushing to go some where that they can enjoy all of the numerous winter sports that are available these days. The big one is snowmobiling and snow boarding, which has become so popular the people much younger than me, I can tell you that.

The older folks in the family are all about going somewhere nice and warm to get as far away as they can from the harsh winter weather that we always experience during those winter months. As they say “you can’t please everyone” but if no one can afford this family event it doesn’t look like any of us will be going anywhere any time soon, sigh….

Nothing much to do but wait it out and keep checking in on FaceBook to see how things are progressing with friends and family with the hurricane and surf the Internet. The TV is nothing but coverage on the hurricane and I’ve had my fill of that for the day.

One of the cars that most guys would love to be able to afford to drive around in is the Jaguar. What a classy looking car, inside and out. I mean even the jaguar rubber mats are something to gaze at, not something that I would normally get all that excited about, but it just amazes me to see just how fine this classic car really is. A guy can dream can’t he?

Something that just drives me crazy is seeing some one on a motorcycle that isn’t wearing the correct riding gear. The absolute worst offenders are the ones that are wearing tennis shoes instead of the Motorcycle Riding Boots that are designed to protect the foot and ankle. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen this and I just want to jerk them off of their bike and give them a good shaking. And don’t even get me started on the ones that I see wearing the full face helmet and their black leather gloves, while going down the road in a wife beater t-shirt and shorts. Those fools don’t even have a clue.

There are few things I like better than being in a loud, hot Rodeo auditorium. Ever since I moved to Texas, I’ve had a major crush on all the rodeo riders and you can find me here just about every weekend. I’ve even taken a few roping lessons myself to find out what all the fuss was about. Turns out it was much harder than it looks! I didn’t realize moving here would change my life in so many ways, but it definitely has. Aside from the rodeo thing I had to get a car, research electricity rates at SHOPelectricityRATESTexas.com and even learn to start saying “yall”…that does not come naturally to me! The good news is I look great in cowboy boots and a cowboy hat and I like being hot rather than cold, so in those respects I’m really fitting right in. I like it a lot here and I find myself really drawn to the Texan culture, which I guess is a good thing since I’ll probably be here for years!
