Back In Business

If I do finally decide to get back into the flea market business and it works well, I’m going to be looking at buying a van to haul the merchandise to the flea market. My sister has been telling me for many years that she has always wanted me to buy one of the mini vans that were so popular a few years back. But now that all of her children are grown, I’m not so sure a minivan would do the trick for me with my needs for a flea market vehicle. I think that with the family situation the way it is now, I just might be happy with something more like the Toyota Highlander or a Saturn Vue than a mini-van. They both seem like a good family car.

Besides buying a new vehicle I would like to invest in some nice logo mats to use, I think that they would be a nice touch for my customers to stand on while getting my name out. A nice logo canopy to use when outside and in wet weather would be a good choice as well. If I could count on the flea markets inside I would even consider purchasing some trade show carpet, I’ve seen some real nice ones being used out there, but there are no guarentees from what I’ve heard in the flea market business.

There really isn’t many things in life better than a good cigar. I was never into smoking cigarettes, but a good cigar and a cold beer in front of my big screen TV with a football game on is about as close to heaven as I’ll ever get, I imagine. Much of the Christmas dinner conversation this afternoon was concerning the up and coming wedding of my brother, scheduled for March 2nd of 2011. I have been asked to come up with ideas for the groomsmen gifts for my brother to present to the five selected groomsmen on that special day. That shouldn’t be a problem, I feel lucky that I haven’t been assigned any of the other numerous tasks that go along with pulling off a large wedding as they are planning.

I am so out of my league when it comes to trying to find good looking, quality made cheap plus size dresses for my niece who is asking for nice clothes for Christmas this year. She has landed a good job that requires her to where nice clothes in the office and she is seriously lacking that type of clothing since she basically lived in her blue jeans for most of her life.

I’ll take a look around online for a bit and see what is out there, but I have a feeling that I will need a woman beside me in order to make any final decisions on this. Too many variables going on with this task.
