Stormy Weather
We were warned that we could expect a few thunder showers yesterday afternoon, but my god what a storm that turned out to be. I had taken a stroll down to the city flea market, it was an extremely hot and humid day, the vendors were all anxious to leave and get out of the heat. All of a sudden the winds kicked up, big time, the sounds of all of the merchandise being blown over and crashing was as loud as the thunder, with papers & posters flying through the air and numerous canvas tents that most of the vendors use for shade were flying about like balloons.
I made it to my car right as the rains came. I felt bad leaving so many of the vendors in such a state, but I asked a few of them if they needed by help, but they all seemed good to go. I’m sure thousands of dollars were lost yesterday in merchandise, props and equipment, not a profitable one for most of them in the end.
Myrtle Beach – This Summer’s Beach Buzz Word
I’m glad to hear and see that Myrtle Beach has made a major come back this year’s summer season. With the Gulf Coast in such a state, due to BP and all of their oil leaking issues, a lot of people are flocking to resorts for golf in Myrtle Beach. There is so much to offer in the Myrtle Beach South Carolina area. I’ve been there many times and have always lucked out on some decent golf packages in Myrtle Beach and am looking into going again, possibly after Labor Day. Besides the fact that the crowds will have dissipated by then, at least for the most part, but hopefully this heat wave will be long gone and over and done with. We are all looking forward to the Fall this year, not so much the Winter!
Anyway I’ve found an awesome website at http://www.ttimesonly.com/ that good information about great prices for the hotel and golf packages. If I had to choose which part of Myrtle Beach I’d prefer, I’d have to say the North side, but there really is so much all over that area that you can get the best of most things all over. A nice cool game of golf sounds like a plan to me.
Milk
There are so many types of milk on the grocery shelves these days. Regular, 2%, 1%, skim. Then there is the lactose free and now we are seeing more and more soy milk, which just cracks me up because there really isn’t such a thing as soy milk, it is soy juice. But I guess no one would be attracted to a product called soy juice. What a joke!
Sleep Habits
It is amazing how we humans get into a sleep routine that if tweaked just a bit can result in a terrible night’s sleep. I have become accustomed to having my Ceiling Fan on, which is directly over the bed. It provides a cool breeze, keeps the air moving as well as some white noise that makes a big difference in my getting a decent night’s sleep. If I don’t have the ceiling fan on I might as well not even lay my head down.
It has now become a necessity for me to take a box fan with me when ever I go anywhere for an over nighter. Ceiling Fans are better but not capable of being transported to and fro, so I’m grateful for my box fan. Not that I go away very often mind you.
My issue these days is that my current ceiling fan has seen better days. It is now time to start looking for a new replant ceiling fan and I have turned to the Internet to make my search hopefully an easier one. Hansen Wholesale Ceiling Fans has a fine selection online. Right now if you enter the correct promotion code, they will pay the tax for you and they offer free shipping as well, those are some might nice perks. It’s just that they are so many to choose from that I can’t seem to make a decision, but I’ll keep trying and see what I can come up with.
What’s Up With All These New 7-11 Stores
I can’t help but notice a lot of new 7-11 stores that are opening up and/or taking over other convenience stores and gas stations. I don’t have a problem with it, mind you, but I’ve never seen such a take over before and can’t help but wonder what’s up wit that?
