A Diamond Necklace for Mother

With the holidays fast approaching us I have been taking some time cruising the Internet for some gift ideas and suggestions in order to get a jump on my Christmas shopping list. This year I am looking at diamond necklaces, my mother has always wanted a diamond necklace and by God this year I am going to get her one, come hell or high water. I’m not an expert on diamonds, mind you, but I have done some research on them and feel pretty confident that I can find the perfect diamond necklace in time to present it to her on Christmas morning.

First Date on a Chartered Private Jet

The Millionaire Matchmaker is an interesting show to watch sometimes, the Bravo Channel is not something that I generally would watch but we all have our moments right? That Patti Stanger is one tough nut, but some how she has got a knack for realizing what kind of people would get a long with each other and she makes a pretty penny out of doing just that with all of the Millionaires that flock to her looking for love.

On last night’s episode one of the millionaires really went first class on his first date of choice.  He took the time and money that it takes to charter a private jet to Paris where they ate dinner at a 1st rate French Restaurant that his date expressed an interest in during the social hour that proceeds the actually date.  They made a good couple that I thought might have a chance at a long term relationship, so I was surprised at the end of the show that they never went out again. Just show to go ya, one never knows when it comes to love.

You Never Know Who You are Going to Meet

Although most people get on my nerves, I do enjoy talking with people, you can learn some fascinating things when you actually listen to what is being spoken and I’m afraid that the art of listening has become a thing of the past. Folks love doing the speaking, but are for the most very bad listeners.

Last week, at work, a co worker of mine had to bring her mother-in-law into the office for a while, waiting for the time to arrive so that she could take her to a doctor’s appointment. The mother-in-law (who’s name is Rose) ended up sitting right close to my desk and we had a very pleasant conversation for close to an hour about all types of things. She turned out to be a very interesting and entertaining lady.

Christmas Is Fast Approaching

Seems that the family is up in arms over the up and coming Christmas holidays that are fast approaching us. Faster than I can to think. These pats few years have really taken it’s toll on everyone, there isn’t a single soul that I know that hasn’t been struggling, struggling hard due to the economy in such turmoil, and the news isn’t all that promising that things will change any time soon.

You see the family has been wanting to check into some travel books  and online sites that will assist with planning a family get a way during the long holiday breaks that most of us get to enjoy. The kids in the family have really been looking forward to spending time with relatives that they don’t get to see very often. They have all been pushing to go some where that they can enjoy all of the numerous winter sports that are available these days. The big one is snowmobiling and snow boarding, which has become so popular the people much younger than me, I can tell you that.

The older folks in the family are all about going somewhere nice and warm to get as far away as they can from the harsh winter weather that we always experience during those winter months. As they say “you can’t please everyone” but if no one can afford this family event it doesn’t look like any of us will be going anywhere any time soon, sigh….

Feeling That Itch

I’ve seriously contemplating on purchasing some type of RV. It has been a long while since I’ve done any serious traveling and I’m starting to feel the itch of hitting the road. The Internet is full of RVs for sale and I’m having a hard time deciding what kind of RV to get. But whatever I decide on I will need to check into some rv financing since paying cash for this type of purchase is just not in the cards at this point.
