Any one remember the CB radio craze days in the 70′s, I still remember my call numbers KATZ double eight, three, eight, I even remember my handle, but that piece of trivia I will keep to myself! The CB was to us what chatrooms and Facebook is to people these days, if you think about it. It offered us the capability to communicate and meet with other people, sight unseen, and then being able to disclose your real identity only when and if you desired to. And the same privacy and safety concerns were relative then, as they are today with the Internet, with the meeting and possible hooking up with some that you don’t know and everything that goes along with that issue.

I seem to remember meeting and getting to know quite a few decent folks through the use of the CB back then, just as I have meet a good amount of people through the use of the Internet, makes me wonder what the future holds for us in this area, the sky is limit, as they say.

It really freaks me out sometimes when I stop and think about the many electronic engineering geniuses that had a hand in the invention of the World Wide Web.  I have to wonder if they had any idea of exactly what a huge business the Internet would turn out to be and how many people rely on all that it has to offer on a daily basis.

I remember from my early training classes back in the early 90′s about the Internet and computers it was not really intended to be such a big commercial enterprise! With so many businesses that are vying and competing for the top spot on the major search engines, like Google of course, that providing affordable search engine optimization services is a very competitive market in an area that is critical for any business today.

It only makes sense to check on your current insurance rates and do some easy research, thanks to the Internet, to see if you can get a better deal some where other than were you are now. I can’t tell you how happy I am to find that I am now saving over $70 a month on my car insurance because I took the time to look up Free Insurance Quotes and switched over to a new, well known insurance company. I only wish that I had done it sooner.

Most of us have seen all of the commercials that are flooding the air waves on our TVs that are telling us that we can save well over $300 a month by switching over to their company and by god they are certainly true. With so many types of insurance out there, life, car, auto, health, renter, motorcycle, RV, boat, ATV, the list just continues to grow as they roll out more ways to insure things that are important to us, it just makes sense to pay as little as you can for that type of protection.

I’m not sure what the big deal is about finding a new bunn vpr coffee brewer for the office. The “big guy” asked for volunteers to find a new one and you should have heard how quiet the room got at that point. I took that opportunity to speak up and say that I would take on the task because I love coffee and I love the Internet. It only took me about 15 minutes to come up with the perfect one online.

Now on to the next mission, what ever that turns out to be.

Houston Realtors have an awesome directory site to assist with locating the perfect Real Estate Agent in the greater Houston area to suit your needs. The Internet has made that chore so much easier, and these days with all of the foreclosures and real estate issues going on, we all could use a little help. By going to Clicksmart.com you can find a certified expert agent for your needs in any city and/or state that you desire, so it isn’t limited to just the Realtors in Houston, you can find them all over the rest of country, as well.

I have a close family friend who happens to live in the Houston area and is looking to purchase a new house to take advantage of all of the low housing costs due to the economy. He has used the ClickSmart site and has sent out an email to all of us recommending this service if we ever find the need.

I have no reason at this point to relocate from Virginia, but one never knows what the future holds for us, now do we? I’m not against moving – I just need the right reason.
