I learned something today that I can’t believe I had no previous knowledge about, the subject of Google’s page ranking has caught my interest so I started asking questions and was told to go to the web-site of populararticles.com/tools where I found the following interesting information that I would like to share in today’s posting.

“Google PageRank is Google’s way of assessing the relative quality of a Web site or Web page on the Internet. PageRank is measured on a scale of 0 to 10. The stronger the PageRank of a given Web page, the higher the corresponding score on the scale. My Google PageRank allows Webmasters to view their site’s PageRank online. In addition, Webmasters can use the provided code from the My Google Page Rank tool to display their site’s PageRank to their visitors. ”

You can go to this web-site as described above and type in the browser address of the site in question and it will tell you with just one click of your mouse button and it also gives instructions on how to install this feature on your Google toolbar for faster and easier usage.

This is information that I’m glad I found out about and it answers a lot of questions that had been going unexplained and unanswered for some time now.

It seems that gone are the days of the typical Advertising Agency like the one that both the Darrens on Bewitched worked at, since the Internet has taken over and became so huge. With more people using the Internet on a daily basis for so many things today’s Advertising Agency has had to think out side of the “normal” box. People are still advertising in newspapers, magazine, radio and of course on the TV but people are consuming these venues much different than in the past and turning to the World Wide Web.

I have always been some what fascinated with the Advertising business, at one point I almost went to work for an Advertising Agency, but getting drafted got in the way of that and that in itself changed everything in my life. I have a few friends that are in Advertising and I enjoy conversing with them and learning some of their strategies and how they are trying hard to keep their customers happy in the 21st century’s media market as well as bringing in new customers. Advertising is still hard work and it is always changing and evolving, makes me wonder what will come next.

Just when you think you have seen everything, something so wacky comes along that really makes you wonder. Deep Fried Kool-Aid Balls is such a case. I loved Kool-Aid as a kid and to be honest I still drink Kool-Aid on occasion. I prefer the Cherry flavor, but the Black Cherry is the best, although much harder to find in any of these area stores that I shop in. Once in a while I’ll stumble on some and grab up and handful to keep at hand.

Anyway, somehow I came across a story about a guy who is making a fortune selling Deep Fried Kool-Aid Balls which of course caught my attention. There are a few videos on these new fangled snacks that are being sold on boardwalks and carnivals and various other places all across the country. I will have to now keep my eyes open for these interesting snacks. There are several recipes to be found online, but since I’m not all that into cooking it will have to wait until I find them some where freshly cooked and ready to eat!

As much as I’ve been to and through Arizona over the years, I have never heard of a town called, Globe, Arizona until today. I have been trying to look it up on Google Maps, but it freezes up and won’t load the page. Then I tried to use Yahoo, and they don’t even want you to use their maps search anymore – it is hidden deep in the options menu and you don’t get to type in just the city you want, they require a starting point and destination to give you directions instead o just showing you a map.

I even tried to search using home security globe as a search term and that came up with a link to a dead web page. I’m so frustrated! I thought I was going to find an ADT authorized home security company and all I got was an html index of graphics folders. Bizzarre!

All I wanted to know is if Globe, AZ is a suburb of a ajor city, or is it out in the boonies? Do they get cable TV in Globe? Of do the homeowners have to get “Direct tv”? It really shouldn’t take 15 minutes to do what should be a simple search and get this kind of question answered!

It seems that every family is stricken by some type of serious illness or disability. Cancer seems to rank up there with the majority of people, lord knows that there are so many types of cancer that has been discovered, I’ll have to Google “how many types of cancer” and what the total is that they have discovered so far. My family hasn’t had to deal with any serious cancer issues, but we are all familiar with MS. There is a scattering of Multiple Sclerosis Symptoms around some various aunts, uncles and cousins and we are a close family that has managed to keep (for the most part) living close by each other as best as they can. That isn’t all that easy these days with most people relocating from their hometown at least once (usually more) in their lives, with many never coming returning.

Anyway, if one of us finds out anything or meets someone with any type of new knowledge about MS we get on the computer real quick and spread the word. I stumbled across a website allaboutms.com last night and was impressed with a lot that they have on their website. They verified that Multiple Sclerosis Symptoms, Diet & Exercise plays a key role in treatments, which is something that we have had issues with keeping this one particular on track with his Multiple Sclerosis Symptoms & Exercise Guide as well as his Multiple Sclerosis Symptoms & Diet Guide regiments and routines that folks have worked out for and with him time and time again trying to get it just right in order to please all that are concerned at this point.

He is my great uncle who is one stubborn old coot and is very lucky that he is surrounded by loving family members and a few long time friends that still live close by. It is most unfortunate that is will most likely be entering a nursing home in the near future, this is one old man that is gonna raise some hell in any type of arrangement that they will have to all work out soon.

Googling gives us all tremendous power to obtain so much information on the Internet in today’s high tech world. I have a cousin who moved to Australia, back in the 90′s. I have always been fascinated with and wanted to go to “The Land Down Under” I thought that having a relative living there would have given me a good excuse to go there, but it hasn’t happened as of yet. I do however, from time to time, go online and visit some of the websites of places and businesses in Australia and have learned a good amount from my time spent googling different things there.

The other day I googled “caravan accessories perth” and “caravan accessories melbourne” to see what type of products are available over there for recreational vehicles and the like. My cousin owns and is into RVs, he does a lot of traveling, camping and hiking, which I’d like to join him in one of these days. It would be a blast to travel around the country side of Australia, it’s a big place with a lot to offer people. When I googled caravan accessories melbourne and caravan accessories perth they both lead me to the web site for Mycaravanparts.com.au, which seems to have a good amount of caravan accessories, so in my last email to him I sent him the link. Who knows he may see something there of interest and that he might find useful.

For some reason I heard a little tune by a piano player and composer named David Lanzand I liked it so much I did a search on Google about it. The song is titled Cristofori’s Dream.According to a short article on David Lanz that I read, Cristofori was the Italian inventor of the piano. Before the piano the instrument was a harpsichord, which had a different sound and many limitations to the range of notes and sounds it could produce. Cristofori made and repaired harpsichords and dreamed of a more sophisticated and elegant instrument, so he invented the piano in his repair shop. Lanz wrote this song to honor Cristofori and I think it is a great story and a wonderful, beautiful song.

Our friends down under in Australia also have the option, much as we do here in the United States, to receive broadband satellite service for a reasonable cost. At Harboursat.com.au they have all the information needed to learn about their broadband satellite company, which I found very interesting and educational. They have a great website that offers a great insight to what they have to offer our friends down under, with price guides, and a 7 days a week help desk available to their customers. And don’t require any contracts, with the capability to apply right online, with just two easy steps. And are 100% Australian owned for all their fellow countrymen and women alike, even out in the wide country area that Australia is known for.

I love how the Internet brings the entire world and all things that are available and out there for other countries. The easiest sites to browse through and read are from the U.K. and Australia, due to the languages that we share that is so very similar. Even though there are a few variables in their languages, I can pretty much muddle through them without a struggle. With countries that speak a totally different dialect, the Google translator certainly comes in handy, but can be time consuming and not 100% accurate unfortunately.
