Fried Kool-Aid Balls- Deep Fried That Is

Just when you think you have seen everything, something so wacky comes along that really makes you wonder. Deep Fried Kool-Aid Balls is such a case. I loved Kool-Aid as a kid and to be honest I still drink Kool-Aid on occasion. I prefer the Cherry flavor, but the Black Cherry is the best, although much harder to find in any of these area stores that I shop in. Once in a while I’ll stumble on some and grab up and handful to keep at hand.

Anyway, somehow I came across a story about a guy who is making a fortune selling Deep Fried Kool-Aid Balls which of course caught my attention. There are a few videos on these new fangled snacks that are being sold on boardwalks and carnivals and various other places all across the country. I will have to now keep my eyes open for these interesting snacks. There are several recipes to be found online, but since I’m not all that into cooking it will have to wait until I find them some where freshly cooked and ready to eat!

Hot Dog or Chili Dog?

For no good reason I am having a craving for a hot dog or two for lunch today. I am thinking about going to Sonic and ordering a chili dog, with cheese and chopped onions. But Steak ‘n Shake has added three specialty hot dogs to their menu – with different toppings. Plus, they have the best milkshakes around. I can’t decide yet, but I’m heading out and going to get a hot dog from somewhere and I’m hungry.

I will have to come back and use mouthwash after eating that, or my co-workers will kill me. lol

Tea Bags

I have always enjoyed a nice hot cup of tea in the morning, then I move on to coffee once I’ve left the house and entered the real world of coffee lovers. My mother always bought and used Lipton tea bags, so that is what I have become attached to and used to all these years. I have a good friend that is urging her friends and family to start buy the Red Rose of tea bags because they have those little Wade figures in them that are becoming a big collectors item, and she would like us to turn her onto the ones that we get for free in the tea bag box along with their hundred or so tea bags.

So last time I went to the grocery store I found the Red Rose tea bags easily enough and put a box in my shopping cart along with the other groceries that I purchased for the week. These tea bags are a bit cheaper than Lipton even though they have a little figurine included, which I thought was pretty cool. It is most unfortunate that the next morning I fixed myself my morning cup of hot tea and the taste just didn’t cut the mustard and I was very disappointed with my purchase. So it looks like I’ll be giving my friend the little cow that I received in the box and I’ll be informing her of my decision to stick with Lipton and she will have to find someone else to turn her onto her little Wades in the future.

McDonald’s Is In The News Along With Subway

Was flipped stations earlier this evening and stumbled onto a show about McDonalds. One of the things that they were talking about was that China is now home to over 200 McDonald restaurants and that they 29 drive throughs. But apparently the chinese are not grasping the drive through concept, but that isn’t going to stop them from building more, I can tell you that.

I also learned that Subway just passed McDonalds for the first time in restaurant chains, but McDonalds is still selling more than anyone, anywhere.
