There really isn’t many things in life better than a good cigar. I was never into smoking cigarettes, but a good cigar and a cold beer in front of my big screen TV with a football game on is about as close to heaven as I’ll ever get, I imagine. I love my Direct TV Movie Channels. It is so great that I don’t even have to leave my house anymore to see all the movies I want. I have never been the type that enjoys movie theaters. People are always loud and annoying, and it’s the worst when they bring their kids and let them hoot and holler the entire length of the movie. I decided a few years back that seeing a movie in the theater was totally not worth the money. I would much rather save my moneyand wait until the movie was released for home viewing so that I don’t have to deal with all of the craziness and kids in a movie theater. I started to spend the money I would have otherwise spent on going to the theater on movie channels, and I have been so much happier. I also rent movies on demand, which is so much easier than going to the video store or mailing them back to the online services. It’s so nice to have everything I need at my fingertips.
Might as well shoot big when the opportunity arrives, right? Each year my folks ask me and my other sibling what they would wish to find under the Christmas tree at their house. Some years it can be a challenge trying to figure out something that I really would like and be able to use as well as something that is affordable.
This year I’ve decided to ask for one of the metal detectors garrett style. Who knows, I just might wake up and find one under the tree this year, stranger things have been know to happen on Christmas morning. And I’ve wanted to go metal detecting for a long time.
One of the things that I hated doing in school was writing essays and research papers. Writing isn’t really the main issue, I enjoy writing, but trying to follow the numerous requirements that go along with assignments just drove me crazy. It’s a good thing that I can just “free style” what ever I write on this blog and not be held accountable for the way that I structure my sentences, or don’t have enough sentences to make a proper paragraph, or worry about poor spelling and grammar issues, I have spellchecker to help me out there, thank goodness.

I got an email from my sister with her kid’s Christmas wish lists attached last night. Hard to believe that Christmas is only a month and a half away and that we have to start the whole wish list and shopping progress all over again so soon. The young kids aren’t a problem to buy for but the ones that are in their teen years seem to always be an issue. But this year my sister’s oldest daughter has expressed an interest in some pretty nice looking titanium jewelry that should be easy enough to find and pick out for her since I’m pretty good in the jewelry field.
