Slap Stick
I didn’t get into the TV show “Scrubs” at first, but after the first season was done and over with I kind of got into their strange sense of humor and their wacky charactors. It is what I’d consider “slap stick comedy” and it is good for a chuckle or two each time I watch it now.
The Grande Shores Resort in Myrtle Beach S.C.
So I went online earlier today and found some real decent Myrtle Beach vacation deals on the website of http://www.grandeshores.com. South Carolina sounds real nice right now, a great beach, awesome golf courses and the best night life that any beach has to offer on the east coast. And since BP has messed up most of the other beaches that people have flocked to each and every summer Myrtle Beach is really swinging right no. I was afraid that I wouldn’t be able to find a decent Myrtle Beach hotel at this point in the game, but taking a few minutes online did the trick right nicely for my needs and wants this summer.
I used to go to Myrtle Beach with my family, back in the day. We all enjoyed the golf courses in that area and all the other things that Myrtle Beach has to offer. It has been a few years since I’ve been there and I can’t wait to see how much is still the same, yet I’m sure that there has been a good amount of change as well. Hopefully it’s all good. The Grande Shores Resort advertises Southern hospitality and that sounds good to me!
The Slurpee
I was speaking the other day about the amount of 7-11 stores that are seeming to take over. I remember a song back in the 70’s that came out about the Slurpee. I thought that I might be able to find it on YouTube.com, but to no avail I couldn’t find it. This is the first time that I have not been able to find a song on YouTube.com, bummer. But I did find a funny video that I wanted to share here.
Favorite Comedy Show
Probably my favorite comedy show is an oldie — Gilligans Island. Featuring a relative unknown cast at the time, the adventures of Gilligan, the skipper Jonas Grumby, millionaire Thurston Howell III, Lovey Howell, Professor Roy Hinckley, movie star Ginger Grant and Kansas farm girl Mary Ann Sommers became great TV back in the 1960’s.
Unfortunately the show is now only available on channels through cable tv packages, and not very often at that. It has now created lasting memories for 3 generations of Americans, without the needless sex and violence too often leaned on today by writers of these types of programs.
One of the best episodes involved the arrival on the island of a double for Mr. Howell. He had been heard selling off the stocks on the only communication device the castaways had — a portable radio. After washing up on the shore, nobody could tell the original from the fake. He had all of the mannerisms and birthmarks that even Mrs. Howell couldn’t figure out which one was her real husband. It wasn’t until the professor decide to test that handwriting that the imposter ran away from the others, somehow getting off the island.
This was a classic show and while occasionally silly, had a great interaction among the cast. It was also easy to watch since the characters inspired genuine care among the viewers.
Myrtle Beach – It’s All Good
I hear that people that want to go to the beach have found themselves in dire straights due to BP’s issues with their oil crisis and that the Myrtle Beach best hotels are booking up very quickly. The east coast is such a mess so I’m glad that at least Myrtle Beach is now thriving. I have always enjoyed North Myrtle Beach to visit and get some nice golf games in when I’m there enjoying all that the beach has to offer.
At this point I would definitely utilize the Internet to find a Myrtle Beach hotel that has vacancies for this season. A great website to use is http://www.horizonmyrtlebeach.com, I have used it in the past and it has always been a great resource for my needs and wants. I’ve been going to Myrtle Beach since I was a kid. My family got us kids into golf at very young ages and we always had a blast on family vacations when it came to having water activities and golf.
I’m glad that Myrtle Beach is now getting some hard core visitors, they have been advertising very heavily these past couple of years since people have been cutting down on their expenses, thanks to our government and the economic issues that have impacted so many of us.
