There really isn’t many things in life better than a good cigar. I was never into smoking cigarettes, but a good cigar and a cold beer in front of my big screen TV with a football game on is about as close to heaven as I’ll ever get, I imagine. I love my Direct TV Movie Channels. It is so great that I don’t even have to leave my house anymore to see all the movies I want. I have never been the type that enjoys movie theaters. People are always loud and annoying, and it’s the worst when they bring their kids and let them hoot and holler the entire length of the movie. I decided a few years back that seeing a movie in the theater was totally not worth the money. I would much rather save my moneyand wait until the movie was released for home viewing so that I don’t have to deal with all of the craziness and kids in a movie theater. I started to spend the money I would have otherwise spent on going to the theater on movie channels, and I have been so much happier. I also rent movies on demand, which is so much easier than going to the video store or mailing them back to the online services. It’s so nice to have everything I need at my fingertips.
Much of the Christmas dinner conversation this afternoon was concerning the up and coming wedding of my brother, scheduled for March 2nd of 2011. I have been asked to come up with ideas for the groomsmen gifts for my brother to present to the five selected groomsmen on that special day. That shouldn’t be a problem, I feel lucky that I haven’t been assigned any of the other numerous tasks that go along with pulling off a large wedding as they are planning.
I picked up the perfect gift for my eldest brother today. He is an avid camper, they go camping more than anybody else I’ve known, and he has needed a new stove. So I found one of the Jetboil stoves that he has been talking about, hope it is the right kind. Guess I’ll find out in 13 days, Christmas morning at the folks place.
A good thing I spent some time looking through my closet this week. I can’t seem to find my mens dress shoes that I usually wear for holiday functions that are approaching us faster than I can shake a stick at. I all ready have several invites for parties that are filling up my December calendar rapidly. Guess I’ll have to start looking for some new mens dress shoes online as well as offline, don’t have a lot of extra time here folks…..
