Sunday, August 22nd, 2010 | business, education, internet/computers, technology | No Comments

How convenient can get you get with today’s Internet to get Online Tutoring in an instant. I can only imagine what my education would have turned out with the aid of the World Wide Web, I mean imagine having like an Algebra solver right at your finger tips. Or assistance with Adding fractions or Solving equations, that would have been awesome. My parents couldn’t help me with my math issues once I got into junior high school, so I had to turn to my older brothers and sisters and that didn’t always turn out so well. Math has never been a good subject for me. Thank the good lord for calculators!

I see that they even have tutoring for Linear programming, that is something that I have no knowledge of and don’t even need to know at this point in my life. Tutornext.com is one of the leading online tutoring sites that are available for today’s students, the lucky chumps!

My Calculator Is My Best Friend

It is so strange to see how my nephew, Patrick, has grown and matured through out the years. Hard to believe that he will be graduating from high school next year and will be going to college on from there. He is a good kid and I think that he will go far in this world and that he will contribute to society in many positive ways.

He is way past the point that I can be of any help with much of his school work and projects as I was when he was younger. We live so close to each other that we spent a lot of time together and I seemed to come over a lot of the times when he was working on his school work. I’ve never been all that much help in the math area though. Numbers and I just don’t get along all that well, I gotten used to it and always have a calculator close at hand for when I need it.

Patrick is now well into Equivalent fractions and Prime Factorization, which are totally above my head. I’m still trying to figure out what a Probability calculator is all about. Thank goodness for online tutoring, it has saved his butt on more than one occasion. Wish that we had the Internet when I was struggling with school.

Teen Abuse Issues

My youngest brother has two step sons that are making his life challenging, to say the least. He had no idea what he was getting himself into when he married he latest wife, I feel for him. Right now they are busy looking for a teen rehab center to place the eldest of the two into. Right when school is getting ready to start all Hell has broken out and instead of going shopping for back to school supplies and clothes they are looking into teen rehab info.

The teen addiction statistics are staggering. Even with all the drug awareness programs that have been implemented into the school systems, like D.A.R.E. for example, there just isn’t enough out there to help prevent drug and alcohol abuse with our kids. So the need for good teen alcohol rehab and a good teen drug rehab centers is going to keep rising each year. The Internet will be a great resource for my brother and his wife during these times and wish them the best of luck.

Track Meets are a Family Affair

Thanks to Darwin Barton

My nephew recently joined a track team with other kids his age. My sister and I like to walk around the track as the kids practice. It is a great way to get some exercise in and be involved and nearby as he improves his track skills. It is a real family affair during actual track meets because the entire family comes by to support him and my younger cousins as they compete in tournaments. Before we leave, we make sure to pack the cooler and set the alarm system. We also pack large umbrellas to provide shade during sunny days.

Although this is my nephew’s first time being in track, it is not the first year that we’ve had other children in our family. Therefore, going to track meets as a family is a regular occurrence in our family. Watching the kids in our family participate in track tournaments is exciting. Although they never come in first, we are proud of them nonetheless. It is a real blast to cheer them on and congratulate them, no matter what place they come in. The best thing about the kids playing track is that they can visit us between their individual competitions because there are so many teams out there competing. We are able to talk with them, encourage them and support them during their big day.

Diet & Exercise a Good Start

It seems that every family is stricken by some type of serious illness or disability. Cancer seems to rank up there with the majority of people, lord knows that there are so many types of cancer that has been discovered, I’ll have to Google “how many types of cancer” and what the total is that they have discovered so far. My family hasn’t had to deal with any serious cancer issues, but we are all familiar with MS. There is a scattering of Multiple Sclerosis Symptoms around some various aunts, uncles and cousins and we are a close family that has managed to keep (for the most part) living close by each other as best as they can. That isn’t all that easy these days with most people relocating from their hometown at least once (usually more) in their lives, with many never coming returning.

Anyway, if one of us finds out anything or meets someone with any type of new knowledge about MS we get on the computer real quick and spread the word. I stumbled across a website allaboutms.com last night and was impressed with a lot that they have on their website. They verified that Multiple Sclerosis Symptoms, Diet & Exercise plays a key role in treatments, which is something that we have had issues with keeping this one particular on track with his Multiple Sclerosis Symptoms & Exercise Guide as well as his Multiple Sclerosis Symptoms & Diet Guide regiments and routines that folks have worked out for and with him time and time again trying to get it just right in order to please all that are concerned at this point.

He is my great uncle who is one stubborn old coot and is very lucky that he is surrounded by loving family members and a few long time friends that still live close by. It is most unfortunate that is will most likely be entering a nursing home in the near future, this is one old man that is gonna raise some hell in any type of arrangement that they will have to all work out soon.
