A Free Gold Guide
Today I decided to attend one of the new auction house that is now being held every Monday morning (some times lasting well into the afternoon) that I have been hearing so much about. It seems that a lot of people are getting rid of their possessions, for a variety of reasons too various to name here, but the economy is to blame for the majority of people’s acts of desperation these days, you can be sure of that. So the flea market and auction businesses are picking up and since I always enjoy hunting for a good bargain and enjoy bartering and bantering with folks, these are two places that I enjoy attending as much as possible and when my time permits me to.
Right now is a good time to be looking for gold at discount prices. The chance of finding gold coins at one of these auctions is slim, but once in a great while you can stumble across a gold coin or two and with the price of gold on the rise you can make a sweet profit if you know what you are doing. There is a lot involved with the buying and selling of gold and gold bullion, I’ve learned a good amount in the past few years from a friend of mine that has been investing for quite some time and has a lot of useful knowledge when it comes to bullion, which I find pretty fascinating.
Of course the Internet is a valuable tool when researching just about anything of interest. One good resource when it comes to gold is at goldcoinsgain.com I’ve referred numerous people there and have had positive feedback so far. A free gold guide, so to speak.
Planters For Next Season
I am wanting to get an early start on next year’s planting issues, both indoor and outside. I want to find some nice Indoor Planters and some nice Outdoor Planters for the place. I did a lot of planting this year and learned a lot from the experience and plan on utilizing the lessons learned for next years Planters.
Of course the Internet has become a valuable tool in finding what I need. On the Internet you can find the nicest High End Planters and Decorative Planters for decent discounted prices, due to the season being over at this point. I have been keeping my eyes open for a nice Window Box Planter to use for the front of the house. The front of the house needs that special touch and is very important.
As far a a Garden Planter goes, I like the look of the ones that come with a nice iron stand that supports the planter and gives it that special authentic design. These vessels, often used to keep wine in, were very heavy back in the early days in Turkey and Egypt and needed a stand, I really enjoy the look and look forward to finding the perfect one for next year’s spring and summer season.
The Tickling of The Old Ivories
I have always held in high regard folks that know how to tickle the old ivories. My grandfather was always playing his piano and I grew up with a family that played and enjoyed a lot of live music and I treasure those memories. We don’t get the opportunity to hear the piano playing very much these days, which to me is a tragedy and real shame.
I still have some of my grandfather’s piano sheet music tucked away some where. He not only could play the piano but the sax, the base, the guitar and the banjo. He learned the banjo later in life, some thing that he always wanted to do and he managed to do just that. My favorite piano sheet music that I found, last time I looked, was “I’ve Got a Loverly Bunch of Coconuts” and “Let’s Have a Quiet Time Tonight, All Right” two of my grandfathers favorites that we could always count on him to play for us at a gathering.
I’m sure that some of the piano sheet music that I have is worth a pretty penny, many of them from the early 1900’s, but I wouldn’t dream of selling any of it. It’s something that will be passed down and kept in the family, or that’s the plan as I see it.
Yard Sale Tasks
My California bound buddy is trying desperately to get rid of as much as he can of his belongings that are not going to be taken along. He is giving stuff away left and right and is planning a huge yard sale and has asked me to help him with the pain staking process involved with having a yard sale. You know, all of the sorting and boxing and pricing and tagging and all of the other physical demanding tasks of setting things up. And what is left over he plans on taking to the local flea market to sell off as much as he can to lessen the load. I’m sure that I’ll be taking a good amount of stuff off of his hands, I’ve got my eye on a few things if he can’t seem to sell them.
Bedroom World, Selection, Service & Value
Funny how we become attached to certain material objects, such is the case in my home with my current bed and bedroom furniture. I know that it is plenty old and could use some work and most definitely a new mattress is long overdue, but I can’t seem to entertain the thought of replacing it and the other furniture in the room either. My grandfather passed down this wonderful antique bedroom set to me, a gift that I cherish dearly, it is all that I have left of him since his passing so many years ago.
Beds, I do believe, are a very personal thing, I’ve had many people tell me that I am in need of an updated version through out the years, but I’m not in any hurry to take the time to look around for a decent replacement, although using the Internet would certainly make the search an easier one.
I’ve seen a few nice looking sets here and there and even found a website that has a great selection of Wooden Beds at Bedroomworld.co.uk, a nice Wooden Bed would be the only way to go for my taste. I’ve placed a picture of one that I found there that I thought was pretty cool looking. Their Toronto Low Foot End Bed Frame which is a simple design that would look great in a more contemporary bedroom than I currently have, a nice look to be sure.
