The “Check Engine” Light

You gotta love how the Internet can make such takes as finding a decent and reputable auto repair shops. Most folks stay in one place very long these days, you don’t always get a chance to form a long time relationship with many merchants. Word of mouth is still a great form of advertising, the Internet can help if you don’t know anyone.

My youngest sister recently up and moved to Houston, TX and doesn’t know a soul yet. Her Acura Integra is in need of a tune up, the tires rotated and an oil change. She can do some things herself but is limited and she really wants to find a Houston auto repair shop that she can put her faith into and entrust them to make sure her Integra is in the best shape that it can be. Lord knows she is paying a good amount to the bank every month for at least another 3 years.

I sent her a link to repairpal.com, which is an Auto Repair and Maintenance review and rating site that I stumbled on. I keyed in her location and there were several shops that got good reviews. I figured it might be a good starting point for her, it’s user friendly and easy to navigate. She needs to have a place to go to when the “Check Engine” light comes on, it always does at some point.

Bananas

It’s too bad that bananas don’t stay fresh longer than they do. I try and eat as many fruits and veggies as I can and I do enjoy bananas, but it is frustrating that they turn rotten so soon after purchasing them. I know that you can make a good banana bread with the over ripened ones, but I’m really not into baking much, so a lot of them end up in the compost pile each week.

Gaming In The 21st Century

I have to admit that some of the (video) games that are being played are way over the top for my needs and wants, although they are apparently getting more popular each day for many people. My nephew is into several of the virtual games that require you Buy WoW Accounts in order to play online. You can go to certain websites that Sell Aion Accounts and get everything that you need to play games like World of Warcraft and the like.

I remember when Pong first came out back in the 70′s, who would have thought that these games would get as technically advanced as they are now. If I had back all the quarters that I spent on those Pac Man machines I could probably pay a month’s mortgage with them! Those games were the main reason to go into several bars that I frequented back then and we had a blast with them time and time again.

A good site to check into that Sell Aion Accounts can be found at vbarrack.com, this is the site that my nephews uses and says that he has always been happy with their tech support and customer service when he has needed it. I like to share positive information here and not dwell on the negative. There is plenty of that to go around, right?

Funny Videos

America’s Funniest Videos is still the best show that making big bucks with the funny and unusual videos that people are sending in these days. Of course I could do without all the talking and could use more videos, but I don’t see that happening any time soon.

Laughter is still the best medicine and they do have some very funny videos each week.

Mail Boxes Have Come Along Way

We have all heard how important it is to have your address on your mailbox. In case of an emergency it helps the good folks in the police and fire department find your home a whole lot easier. Having Residential Mailboxes and Commercial Mailboxes with all the correct information can help the pizza and/or chinese delivery personnel get your food quicker, which means your food will be hotter upon delivery as well.

Mailboxes have come a long way since the 60′s. I’ve seen some very interesting and creative ones going down the road. Some people put a lot of time, effort and money into their mail boxes these days. I’ve never owned anything other the regular run of the mill mail box and have decided to start looking around for a nicer one for my use. There are several websites that have a great variety of mailboxes for sale so I’ll have plenty to choose from. I don’t want to spend a large amount of money, but I want a good looking one that is made with quality that will last a good long while and still maintain it’s attractiveness, while having all the correct and important information easy to read day or night.

Will see what I come up with in the next couple of weeks.
