Senior Housing and Care

It’s a sad state of affairs that we here in the U. S. of A don’t take care of our elderly parents and grandparents the way that they do over in the other parts of the world. Families are so spread apart from each other these days, with work and other obligations keeping us from residing close by to each other. It used to be that families stayed on the same road or at least in the same town or county, but those days are long gone, sad but true.

My parents are at the point in their life that they are needing to find assisted living facilities for their parents.  The Internet certainly comes into play here folks. By going online they can look around and see what options are available for them to look into. There are a lot of assisted living communities and to physically go out and about to research them all would be terribly time consuming and with our busy lifestyles that just isn’t feasible for most of us.

At some point I’ll be needing to be taking the effort to find senior independent living arrangements for my folks. Not something to look forward to, but a necessary evil. I’ll do what I can to make sure that they are well taken care of in their particular situation and I’ll be using the Internet to locate what I think to be the best type of care for them that I possibly can. Hopefully that won’t be for a very long time to come.

Down Under in Australia

Googling gives us all tremendous power to obtain so much information on the Internet in today’s high tech world. I have a cousin who moved to Australia, back in the 90′s. I have always been fascinated with and wanted to go to “The Land Down Under” I thought that having a relative living there would have given me a good excuse to go there, but it hasn’t happened as of yet. I do however, from time to time, go online and visit some of the websites of places and businesses in Australia and have learned a good amount from my time spent googling different things there.

The other day I googled “caravan accessories perth” and “caravan accessories melbourne”  to see what type of products are available over there for recreational vehicles and the like. My cousin owns and is into RVs, he does a lot of traveling, camping and hiking, which I’d like to join him in one of these days. It would be a blast to travel around the country side of Australia, it’s a big place with a lot to offer people. When I googled caravan accessories melbourne and caravan accessories perth they both lead me to the web site for Mycaravanparts.com.au, which seems to have a good amount of caravan accessories, so in my last email to him I sent him the link. Who knows he may see something there of interest and that he might find useful.

Special Online Direct TV Offer

I remember when I graduated from college and I finally got the opportunity to move out from under my parents roof, the only way to receive a decent TV signal was by having a cable company hook you up. That was all well and good, but I’m glad that we now have the option of using cable or satellite. On down the road I switched to satellite and have stuck with it ever since. The last time I moved I was subscribing to Direct TV and they made the whole process of transferring my satellite service nice and easy like, no fuss, no muss!

I stand by my Direct Satellite TV
and have referred numerous people to them over the years. My oldest brother subscribes to Direct TV in California, when he signed up with both got a $100 referral bonus when he gave them my account number. Right now they have a promotion which will get you a $100 Visa gift card for signing up with them and they have many program packages to choose from. Who couldn’t use an extra $100 right now, especially with Christmas looming so very near!  They have a terrific sports package for sports fans such as myself. Football is my passion and Direct TV brings me all the games, in HD to boot!
