Cheap Seats

Living in New York City has many advantages. I really enjoy that we are provided with so many events, concerts, shows and the like. While growing up my parents took us kids, on numerous occasions to see the most wonderful Broadway shows which I’m so grateful to them for doing that with us all those years. It really made me appreciate all the venues that are available to us all.
I’d really like to score some U2 concert tickets, I’ve been hearing a lot about their current tour and I’ve always been a U2 fan.  The Internet, I’m sure, will come into play at this point, in finding where and when they will be around this part of the country. I managed to find some Disney On Ice Tickets online the other week for my sister and her kids, while her husband was busy looking for Metallica Tickets, which I’m sure is more his speed, rather than Disney!
There are deals to be found online, acheapseat.com is a good place to start looking when you have an inkling for most any type of event ever offered. You get your tickets delivered right to your door with Fed Ex and are given a %100 guarantee.

Redskins, sigh………

The Washington D.C. Redskins are making it tough on a guy to try and keep the faith and keep his dignity in tack. I really thought that they were due for a win. Last night, with their huge lose to the Philadelphia Eagles, they have upset a lot of people. It’s been a very long time since we Redskin fans have seen a decent season, much less a great season.

Mom & Vitamins

You just can’t beat some of the deals and prices of so many services and products that are being found online these days. This weekend I helped my mother find some of her Bariatric Advantage Vitamins on her laptop that she is still trying getting used to. Their PC crashed a month or so back and my brother talked her and my dad into buying a laptop this time around for their computer needs.

Both of my folks are pretty well computer literite, but learning things using a laptop for the first time has proven to be a bit challenging for my mom. The fact that they new laptop has the new Windows XP on it instead has really thrown her for a loop. So I’ve been trying to help her out with my limited knowledge when I go over there for a mom’s home cooked meal and a friendly visit.

October 22nd

Friday, October 23rd, 2009 | Health, family, life | No Comments

All day I kept hearing today’s date, October 22nd, and I’ve been hard pressed to remember what significant event took place on October 22nd. It isn’t any one’s birthday, I checked my calendar a few times today to be sure. It finally hit me this afternoon that it was one year ago that my brother entered detox and rehab for prescription pain killers. After I finally figured it out I gave him a call to tell him how proud I am of him for taking on the responsibility of getting himself clean and sober.

Life is a challenge.
