Jewelry Vortex

I myself have never experienced the act of getting engaged, I’m a confirmed bachelor and I plan to keep it that way, thank you very much. I do seem to be one of a dying breed. On the other hand my best friend, Gary, has proposed several times and has always been turned down, but it appears that it doesn’t stop him from trying.

Last week he tried once again and to every one’s surprise she (Vicki) said yes and gladly allowed him to place the engagement ring that he has used time and time again on her finger. Gary and I spent hours online a few years ago to find the the most perfect of Diamond engagement rings for his use and I’m glad that Vicki is proud to wear it on her finger.

Jewelryvortex is a great online resource for unique engagement rings for men and women and wedding bands as well. They offer free engraving, free gift boxes and free shipping, we all like free, right? Whether you are looking for a  titanium, palladium, two tone, yellow or white gold or a platinum engagement ring they have it all at great prices.

My Speeding Ticket

I got stopped for speeding this morning. I thought that I could talk my way out of it until the cop looked at my dog in the back seat!

Online Tutoring, What a Concept!

My niece will be entering high school this fall. Four more years and she will be heading out for college, this one will go far in life, I’m quite sure of that. She wants to become a marine biologist and is even thinking of joining the U.S. Navy before going to college. Through the years I have assisted her with some of her homework, when I could. Some of the projects that she has been assigned have been pretty interesting that I’ve had privy to time to time. I must say that school certainly has changed a whole heck of a lot, in so many ways since my day. And what the Internet has brought into play in the education process is amazing. If only we had had the Internet back then.

Today you can now go online and get all types of information instantly, I imagine libraries aren’t used much by students like we used to. My niece takes advantage of the Internet with Free online algebra help, since math isn’t one of her stronger subjects. She utilizes an Online algebra tutor that can be found at tutorvista.com which is available when she needs the assistance 24/7. We have become a society of instant gratification and with every one’s busy and hectic schedule it is a great convenience to take advantage of.

Algebra tutoring has a whole new meaning these days with the Internet, the only type of Algebra help we could have gotten was from an old retired school teacher that lived in the neighborhood that advertised on all the community bulletin boards during the school year for an Algebra tutor for hire. She was a real trip, a 70 year old red head that always had way too much make up on and smelled kind of moldy like. No student wanted to have to have her come over to their house for any type of tutoring sessions!

I wish my niece the best of luck in her high school years. I’m glad to know that when she needs a good resource such as Algebra 2 help, that it is there for her, when one of us are not available, with sites such as tutorvista.com all have to offer today’s students. Education is where it is at in today’s high tech world.

Power

Thursday, July 23rd, 2009 | life, technology | No Comments

We needed the rain, but we could have done without the losing of all the power for over 7 hours last night. Each time the power goes out it becomes such an inconvenience, we really do rely way to heavily on our electricity. I’ve looked into purchasing a generator before but have never actually bought one, something that keeps getting put on the back burner.

Looks like we are in for another storm tonight, bummer.

The Internet Is Here To Stay

Online Siesta is a good quality professional blog that I enjoy reading now and then. It is written by Tomer Treves, the VP at Infolinks and I would urge anyone interested in online marketing, website monetizing and digital advertising to give it a read. His most recent post is concerning the use of double underline, the pros and the cons as well. I’ve read many websites and blogs that are so very technical that they are a major turn off, so I’m pleased to find onlinesiesta.com is a very user friendly site that doesn’t make me feel like a complete idiot.

Let’s face it, the Internet is the way for the majority of businesses to go these days. There has always and will always be the need for good quality marketing so it is not only wise, but a necessity to get the best bang for your buck, especially in today’s economically challenged world. So check out what Tomer Treves from Infolinks has to say concerning his hand’s on experiences, from time to time, a good site to bookmark.
