Exercise For Folks Over The Age of Forty

Begin by standing on a comfortable surface, where you have plenty of room at each side. With a 5-lb potato bag in each hand, extend your arms straight out from your sides and hold them there as long as you can. Try to reach a full minute and then relax.

Each day you’ll find that you can hold this position for just a bit longer. After a couple of weeks, move up to 10-lb potato bags. Then try 50-lb potato bags and then eventually try to get to where you can lift a 100-lb potato bag in each hand and hold your arms straight for more than a full minute. (I’m at this level.)

After you feel confident at that level, put a potato in each bag.

Now you’ve got to admit, that was funny……

Today’s Trade Show Displays

Trade shows have become a most popular way to advertise and a great opportunity to network in today’s business world. I enjoy attending one every now and then, it’s a good way to spend a few hours, and you never know who you are going to meet and/or run into.

My parents enjoy attending these events as well. They have always been very social people and they have several friends that set up at these functions so it seems that they are always heading out to one to check out or to go along and lend a hand with.

Trade show booths and their accessories, have progressed considerably in the past years. There are now an outrageous variety of table skirts, pop ups, hanging or overhead displays, banner stands, etc… With companies like Camelback Displays (camelbackdisplays.com) out there and the availability of the Internet, they sky is the limit.  The pipe and drape is a popular model, they don’t require tools, quick and simple like. There are a lot of senior citizens running businesses these days that are looking for ways to get the word out and can’t handle a lot of the work that the booths of yesterday required.

Legends

Another celebrity legend has passed away this week. The Taco Bell spokes dog has left this world at the age of 15 years. Yo Quiero Taco Bell will live on for quite some time due to his work.

ADT In Business Since 1874

My folks finally took the plunge and called ADT Security about getting one of their Home Security Systems installed in their place. I’m glad that some one listens to my suggestions. I’ve had an ADT Security System for quite some time now at my place and have been pleased with their equipment and services the whole while.

My folks aren’t getting any younger and I do worry about them and their safety. With the crime rate steadily on the rise my folks are a prime target for a thief, due to their age and where their house is located. I’d hate to have to hunt someone down and kill them if I caught wind of something like that happening to them, you just don’t mess with some one’s elderly parents and get away with it in my book.

ADT is known for having the Best Home Security Surveillance System on the market and at affordable prices. So I’m glad that they have decided to take action and have them come out for a consultation. Home Security is best left with the professionals and ADT has been around for over a century, since 1874 to be exact, there is something to be said about a company that has been around for that long.

Glasses

I hate it when I lose my eye glasses. I have not been able to find them all week and have had to resort to wearing my old spare pair which has been giving me a head ache. I finally gave up and called my eye doctor and made an appointment, it has been a few years, so I guess I’m due.
