It’s a Plastic World Today

What with the economy is such a crisis and most of us feeling the huge crunch, credit is a very hot topic these days. We have become a society dependant on plastic. I know that my wallet is full of plenty of plastic, it is hard to imagine life without these important pieces of plastic that we have ended up carrying with us in today’s world.

Each store that I frequent requires some type of “rewards” or “bonus” card to acquire savings. And with each checking account or Pay Pal account having a plastic debit card attached to them, it’s no wonder that my wallet is full of plastic and not cash.

Credit cards are important, it is unfortunate that so many people have gone over board and found themselves in major financial trouble and are drowning in debt due to the high interest rates that are being charged on so many of them. For many folks, their precious plastic have been taken away or cut up in order to keep them from using them any more. And many people have such bad credit that getting a new credit card is impossible. That is where these Prepaid Debit Card and Prepaid Credit Card offers come into play.

These handy Prepaid Mastercard debit cards can be loaded with a direct deposit and used virtually like any other Master Card debit card with out the worry of over spending and dealing with any interest rates. A great alternative that warrents checking into. You can shop with them at stores or online and even pay bills with them. For further information, a good site to check out is achievecard.com.

The Middle Heart, a Novel

Stopped by the used book store again today and picked up The Middle Heart, a novel by Bette Bao Lord. The Middle Heart is her second novel, the first being Spring Moon back in 1981. This novel is set in 1932 when China is beset by domestic weakness and foreign assaults. The story of three young people and their destiny over the years of World War II and the Communist revolution.

Spoiled By The 1990′s Technologies!

One of the great things about the World Wide Web is that you get the opportunity to steal a glance into lives and worlds that you normally wouldn’t get a chance to see, hear or read about. I am constantly finding myself on sites that are in a different language, of course Google’s translation services are a help, but still it can be a challenge and can at times give me a real head ache. So me favorite sites that I like to check into from lands a far are from the U.K. and Australia, which of course is known as the land of down under. Their languages are so similar to ours, with just a twist to keep you on your toes and empower your word and language skills!

It seems that the need to find a good body shop, insurance company or to find an accountant in australia is as easy to find here back home with the use of the Internet. The 90′s made quite an impact on people’s daily lives with the invention of today’s basic technologies. To find an accounting firm in the 80′s would have entailed the Yellow Pages or word of mouth, that’s about all. Boy have we gotten spoiled!

Garage Door

My poor garage door is in desperate need of some work. I almost got my fingers caught in the damn thing yesterday, trying to get it to lower and close, that would and could have been a total disaster. Guess I need to start asking and looking around and see what I can come up with soon. Winter will be upon us soon and I’ll need it taken care of by then.

Dry Erase Wall Calendar Products

As we all know, advertising is a key component to any business, old or new, and unfortunately advertising usually doesn’t come cheap. Word of mouth has always been the best way to get word out, but now a days there are so many other alternatives available. Today paper fliers seem such a hassle and a waste, not a good way to keep our much needed trees on the planet, besides people are being turned off with the amount of paper in their daily lives as it is! I know that I try and back off from any paper that I don’t absolutely need.

I’ve seen a great new product that I’d like to share here by a company at the web site of wallcalendar.us. They have a great selection of dry erase Wall Calendars that fit in well with the decor of most businesses and are made of vinyl which will stick to any clean and dry surface. They seem to be selling quickly at restaurants which are using them to post their specials, news, activities and events to their customers in order to get them to come back once again through their front doors.

The bistro that I frequent had one up and got me curious so I decided to go online and see what else they have to offer, I liked what I saw, these wall calendars are stylish and affordable, available for commercial or residential use as well. A great idea to pass along here.
