Spring is Here

It’s almost time to get out the rototiller and plow up the garden! I’d have already started except for the lingering cold weather and high winds that keep blowing everything in my yard around everything else in my yard! Place is a mess and I’m not exactly looking forward to cleaning it up, what with all the leaves and twigs and sticks that need to get picked up and tossed into the trailer for the trip to the local dump along with other bits of unusable yard waste and the like. I do like gardening though, as much of a grump I am about it.

I do so enjoy the benefits of growing one’s own veggies! Won’t be too long before I get it under control again I’m sure. Just making the first move that bugs me I guess. Mainly because once I start I have a tendency not to want to stop until I’ve completed whatever it is I’ve begun. The problem there lies in the matter that it is usually a two or three day job I’m trying to get done in a day. Oh well, I’ll just do it as it comes along.

My plan is to cut back a bit on tomatoes and try an increases bean production along with extending the melon patch. Probably just a couple of pepper plants this year and I may plant a couple more fruit trees as so far the only ones making a go of it are one golden delicious apple tree and of course the chestnut tree. My pear and plum and peach trees all succumbed to slugs and bad weather, the strawberries are holding their own though despite the slugs. Now that I’ve been thinking about it I have a sudden urge for fresh fruit along with some cottage cheese…hmm, sounds good.

Insurance Needs

Not having the right insurance can lead to disaster. With Mother Nature raising Cain these past few years, the need for a good insurance policy is in demand. I love the fact that you can go on the Internet and shop around at your leisure for the best policies and deals are to be found a plenty.

Back in my day, we only had the local yellow pages to turn to, and word of mouth, of course, but today’s Internet makes the task so much easier and very user friendly indeed. You are now not limited to your own home town and neighboring counties, the possibilities are endless by taking advantage of going online.

The Greg White Insurance Company offers great rates on various insurance policies and you can get a quick quote on their home page of Houstonhomeinsurance.biz within a matter of minutes and they are currently offering a $10 gift card for any quoted referrals. For more information about their Houston Home Insurance you can also call them at 832-772-6383 or request a phone call to be made to you, on their dime, online.

If you are still paying on your home, the law requires that you have a home insurance policy, it only makes sense to get the best that their is to offer in case disaster hits so that you can be reimbursed or rebuild immediately.

Wrist Watches are Making a Comeback

For a while there people were not buying wrist watches. Sales dropped considerably when it became an every day occurance for people to carry a cell phone and/or their black berries, that always keep us informed of the time, so easily and digitally. So it is so very nice to see that watches are making a come back and I always enjoy looking at the new fashion lines that are coming out at The Watchery online.

Check out this nice Movado that is now marked down at 78% off and is their “Deal of the Day” for $349.

The Watchery has an awesome selection of discounted luxury watches that are certainly worth taking a good look around for, they are having a clearance sale with many of their watches discounted up to 80% off. Many brand names that are 100% authenic and have their serial numbers are being offered there, such as the well known brands of Cartier, Ebel, Bulova, Concord and Tag Heuer. Now is a great time to pick up a nice wrist watch and The Watchery accepts PayPal as well as the other major credit cards along with Free Shipping, which is something that I always look for when shopping online.

His Shoes

I have a very dear friend that I have known since childhood that recently was released from prison, where he has spent the last 18 years of his life. He was released with no where to go and no money to start his life over with. The economy has made life difficult for all of us, so imagine walking a mile in his shoes at this point and time.
