I’ll be Smoking while Bringing in the New Year

I’m not even considering quiting my cigarette habit as a New Year’s resolution as so many people are trying to talk me into doing. I have been a smoker most of my life and can’t imagine my life without it. I know all of the health risks, but it is my choice and one that I take seriously, thank you anyway.

They are making it more difficult to smoke in most places other than in the privacy of your own home these days, which isn’t really a problem. I have always been a considerate smoker, never wanting to bother anyone with the second hand smoke, even before we even knew what second hand smoke was all about.

Mother’s promise

I promised my mother that I would post the address to a web site for a program that she has just found out about called the Angel Food Ministries, where you can order online or in person, a selection of quality food products at a much discounted price. Food prices are expected to come down, but we are not seeing any signs of that so far here in the city.

Sounds like a good opportunity for everyone to check into, think I’ll go online and see for myself and possibly take advantage of some savings.

The Redskins, what a disappointment

My home town team of the Washington Redskins have blown their chances of participating in this years Play Offs, what a disappointment! Tonight’s game against Cincinnati was a joke and their is a lot of Redskin fans that are crying in their beer due to the lack of effort that was shown over the air waves just a few hours earlier.

Let us hope that at least they go out with a band, when they go up against their rivals of the Cowboys, it is the least that they could do for their die hard fans this year!

A day full of Football

Sundays are the best days of the week during this time of year. I plan on kicking back today and watching all the games that are being aired today, three in all total, one right after the other. I have plenty of beer and munchies on hand and I can only hope that the phone doesn’t ring and interrupt my viewing pleasure for the day!

Hopefully all three teams will walk away as winners by nightfall! I do have a bit of money tied up in these three important games so I do have an interest at stake today.

Healthy Snacking Going On

One of my all time favorite healthy snacks these days is made by Welch’s, in business since 1869, their dried fruit are really awesome and the dried Cherries are the best of all of them. Popcorn used to be number one on the list and then I found these nice treats and have put the popcorn on the back burner for now.

Raisinets are the best all the way around, raisins are good for you, and if you get the dark chocolate variety (which I don’t, I prefer the milk chocolate, myself) the dark chocolate is supposed to be good for you as well. Hell drink some red wine with any of the above and you’ll be in like Flint.
