Trick or Treat

Friday, October 31st, 2008 | life | No Comments

Glad that I stayed home and gave out candy tonight. There were hordes of trick or treaters in theneighborhood. The dogs were barking from 4:30 until even now, almost 10:30. I had dozens of small groups of kids, all accompanied by a parent or two, which I think was very smart of the parents.

By 9:00 the crowds thinned dramatically and I had only a few candy bars left over by 9:30. That was three huge bags of assorted candies gone in one night!

I think it is pretty much over by now and I’m taking the pumpkins in from the porch and turning out the light.

Great Cell Phone Deals

This is an exciting time to be addicted to cell phones. I have to carry two phones – one for work and one for personal use. So tonight I’ve been looking for holiday deals on Verizon phones to see what I can get in new features. My company uses Verizon cell phones exclusively and they bought my phone that I use for work. But I can do whatever I want for my personal phone.

I thought it would be worth checking out any deals on t-mobile phones to see if it is worth switching my service. The new Google phones are exclusively at t-mobile.

For people who don’t want the new Google phone, there are good deals on Sprint phones including the new Blackberry Curve and the new Samsung Instinct. Those are both very cool phones and they do a lot more than just make phone calls, trust me.

The Palm Centro and the Samsung Blackjack are available from AT&T, and since that’s my home phone provider, they are offering service discounts on cell phone service. After looking around the very cool web site, I think I’ll stick with the models available from AT&T. The iFreeCellPhones web site makes it easy to search by brand or by service provider, which saves a lot of time. They have a lot of the newest model cell phones. Looks like I’m going to have a hard time making up my mind which of the at&t cell phones to get.

Sore Feet

My sister has always worked desk jobs and not had to be on her feet much. It’s a wonder she’s stayed slim with so little exercise, but she looks great.

Now she is beginning her second career and she will be on her feet quite a bit. So I want to help her find shoes that will be comfortable and not likely to trip or slip. This weekend we plan to take a few hours and go to the mall. I can help her find some shoes and she can help me find a couple pairs of new jeans.

Brother-in-law may have found the answer to his $$$ worries

Tampa Debt Consolidation is an accredited debt consolidation service that my brother-in-law has been raving about in his past few email. He has been having an awful time, as of late, and I’m glad that he has found a reliable company, via the Internet, that he seems pleased with.

Now debt consolidation isn’t answer for everybody, it does pay to do the homework that is necessary to find the right plan for you. At Tampadebtconsolidation.net, you can receive a great deal of information that will assist you in your decision making, during these rough times for most folks. They can help you decide on what product or which type of service may benefit your particular needs, just by taking a few minutes to fill out a few questions and then submitting them – right online with the use of the good old Internet.

They can help you lower or even eliminate costly interest charges, lower your payments, and even put an end to all of the harassing collection phone calls that interrupt your days and evenings. My brother-in-law has been so worried about his credit score being affected by all of this, and they are helping him to maintain and/or restore these ratings that are so important to each and everyone of us these days.

The family has been trying to help him and his family out as much as possible these past few months, but everyone seems to be feeling the pinch these days with our failing economy and all, so we are all very glad that he has finally decided to get some professional help and we pray that life will be better for all concerned.

Last minute Halloween Party Invite

As I mentioned earlier, I enjoy scared the neighborhood kids during their trick or treating when they arrive at my door, but I just got a phone call from a friend trying to entice me into leaving the house unattended tonight and coming to a costume party being held at his place.

After much thought, I have decided to go ahead and stay at my place and stick with my original plan, don’t want to risk anyone playing tricks on my home or property due to me not being here to hand out the candies as I have always done in the past. There will be plenty of time for partying with the big kids at some other time.
