Nagging Toothache
I have been having some trouble lately with a back tooth that has been giving me a good deal of grief as of late. I was hoping that it would just go away, sometimes a toothache has been known to go away without any type of treatment done to it. But this one doesn’t seem to want to ease up one bit.
It was hurting so bad this morning that I actually called the dentist that I haven’t seen in some time, and scheduled an appointment for tomorrow at 3:30pm. I was told that since I had not been there in some time that I should plan on arriving a bit early and to be prepared to fill out all new paperwork on myself.
I don’t know which one I’m dreading worse, the dentist or the paperwork.
Sometimes you just have to play along
I have a young niece who is so special, she just captured a place in my heart from the first moment I laid eyes on her in that hospital room 9 years ago. She is the youngest of one of my sister’s that live out of state but not too far away, so we do get to see them fairly often throughout the year.
This young lady has her own email address and once in a while she will email me something that she is excited about, or a time or two she has asked for assistance with a problem or advise with a certain situation that she feels coming to me about.
Her latest communication was all about how she is getting so good with her PC that she got for Christmas this past year, and she is finding so many cool things that she is just bubbling over with excitement at the world that is now at her fingertips in her own room.
She has come across a site PeekYou.com which is a people search engine and she apparently typed in my name and didn’t find me listed and is demanding (in her own cute way) that I add my profile to this site. I figure what the heck, what could it hurt, so I did go online and added my information and then sent her a quick email letting her know that she can now put in my name and everything that she ever wanted to know about me would be right there for her. Sometimes you just have to play along.
Bill Paying On-line
I have just recently started paying the majority of my monthly bills on-line. With the price of postage and gas it just makes sense to do it this way. So far I have had only two problems with the company not receiving the payment, but both places were nice about it and took care of the problem and didn’t charge a late fee.
So the first of the month is here again which means most of my computer time is going to be spent doing the monthly payments and all. I just hope that all of them go in correctly this time, I found myself a bit gun shy there for a while, but I’ll still keep trying.
Friendly folks at BarCode Discount
A few neighbors and I have been discussing the problem of items being taken from our yards lately. This past year it has been happening more and more to most folks up and down our street. I am seriously thinking of placing security cameras around my place and see if they seems to do any good or not.
I know of a company by the name of Barcode Discount that I have had experience with in the past, that deals with a lot of barcode items like barcode software and equipment, from a place that I worked at several years ago. After leaving that company I looked to see if they had put up a web-site as of yet and was pleased to see that they do and that not only do they sell barcoding equipment they also have a nice line of security cameras that I plan on checking out to see if they would be suitable for my needs here at the house. They were nice people at Barcode Discount and I wouldn’t mind giving them some of my personal business.
New date?
Unreal, no sooner do I get my new phone and all the problems related to it addressed, when my computer gets knocked over and breaks the screen! So off I went to buy a new monitor for it at this new place called “Computers Are US”, which sounds a bit like the toy store if you ask me. Anyway, while I was there I met this gorgeous college girl that seemed to be a bit taken with me. Now here’s where it gets a little weird, she lives across the street from one of the young ladies I’ve been seeing and she knows her. She asked me if I’d like to come by some time and maybe have coffee or something. I liked the way she added the, “…or something”. Not sure how this is actually going to work out, but it’s going to be fun in the process! Like I said before, It’s good to be me!
