Curious about the health of magazine publishing. The checkout stand at the grocery store is loaded with different magazines and new ones appear every once in a while. I know there are regional differences in the magazine selection, as well. For example, in the the South you can buy a very popular and successful magazine called, “Southern Living.” But out West you cannot find that magazine.
There is a comparable magazine in California called “Sunset,” but it is not as nice as the Southern Living. I suspect they may be produced by sister companies. In that case, Southern Living is the pretty sister and Sunset is “the other one.”
