How did I miss this piece of news

Although I am not what you would consider an avid fan of the very famous Olympics that are held every four years in various locations through out the world, I do and did enjoy watching some of the events and this year’s 2008 games that were held in Beijing China was certainly an interesting one. Almost daily the news programs were filled with stories of various bizarre, strange and questionable behavior of this year’s host city, Beijing, the opening program was said to have been magnificent, I’m sorry to say that I missed it. I’m sure somewhere on the Internet I should be able to find a video taping of it, I should look into that.

While on the phone earlier today, talking with one of my brothers, the issue came up about the one news story that I had somehow missed, the story of the thousands of families that were forced out of their homes in order to make way for the elaborate gardens and the temporary housing, built for the participants to stay in for the events. I can’t tell you how bothered I am upon hearing of such a tragedy. My brother promised to send a link to a site that has a video concerning this outrageous behavior, I find myself looking forward to viewing it and at the same time dreading it, and if he doesn’t end up sending me the promised link, I will start looking around for it myself, this has got my curiosity up and going big time.
