Hand Blown Glass Appreciation

My lady friend has been quite impressed with the decorating and furnishings that I have managed to put together during my bachelor years, and how it is ever growing and ever changing, depending on what deal I can make on just about anything that I might acquire. She has told me that she finds flea marketing and attending estate sales as fascinating as I do, and she seems to appreciate the variety of unique, high quality, furnishings and collectibles that show up on the sale’s block and up for grabs.

My own inventory contains Native Americana, Erotica, Antique Books, and Hand Blown Glass pieces a plenty. They take up a good amount of space in my place, along with assorted pieces of unique collectibles from various points of history from all around the world. My collection can be found in book cases, book shelves, mannequins, hat stands, and display cases of all shapes and sizes, which are pretty much every where throughout my home.

One of my latest finds was a nice piece of turquoise colored, hand blown glass that I recently picked up through a friend/vendor, at one of the Flea Markets in town that I frequent now and then. I was impressed with my find enough that I took the time to turn to the Internet and found an online gallery for hand blown glass pieces. I was quite impressed with the variety of selections that can be purchased online, and especially fond of the collection shown on the web site called Hand Blown Glass.net.

This site has beautiful photos of each piece of Glass Art that rotate in a display on their home page, along with several categories listed on the left sidebar, such as:

    Glass Wall ArtGlass Bowls

    Fluted Bowls

    Glass Vases

    Glass Sculture

    and more!

I searched through the hand blown glass vases and found several pieces that I know I could resell at a profit in my markets. They are beautiful and reasonably priced, so buying any of these pieces would be an investment, and in the meantime I would have the pleasure of seeing these pieces reflect the light in my living room bay window.
