I do believe that we have become immune to loud alarm systems. It seems that on a weekly basis we hear some one’s alarm going off and no one appears to be concerned, it’s really weird. I can’t imagine, back in the day, as a kid, if one of today’s loud alarm systems went off, that people would just keep going about their business as if nothing was going on.
So it seems to me that if I was going to invest in a home security system that I would not have an loud audible alarm, but one that has a monitoring system that would contact the alarm company and the local police and ASAP.
