A good recipe for crab cakes

I dug deep into my freezer and found a tub of crab meat that I was saving to make my famous crab cakes one evening in order to impress a lady friend. But since that type of opportunity may take a while I figure I might just as well indulge in these really delicious crab cakes that I had gotten the recipe from a lady friend, over 20 years ago now.

I will even make my self a small salad to go along with them, the doctor says that roughage is good for a man my age and I do enjoy fruits and vegetables more and more it seems the older I get, I guess that is a good thing.

For anyone interested in the recipe that I use, it is here for the taking, hope you enjoy.

  • 1 Tb       Mustard
  • 1 Tb       Mayo
  • 1             Egg
  • 1/2 Cup  Bread Crumbs
  • 1/2 Tb    Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 Small   Onion (finely diced)
  • 1 Lb Crab Meat (the real thing, not imitation)

Combine all ingredients, then salt and pepper to your individual taste. Make into patties and fry in deep hot oil until browned to taste. Enjoy with a nice cold beer!
