One of my best friends from high school got married right out of school and went to work for a mortgage company called Countrywide. Back then I wasn’t in the market to buy a home and had never heard of the mortgage company, but Sandy seemed to like the job and was doing well so I was happy for her.Now, Countrywide is one of the biggest Home Mortgage companies in the U.S., and they do other things related to credit, too. Sandy has stayed with them all these years and could probably retire, but she loves her job and loves the company, so I bet she continues working for a long time yet.
Even with the mortgage companies having so much trouble, there are still a lot of new customers for Sandy to help. Some people are buying new homes because they have to move for a new job or other good reason and others are deciding to stay put for a while and fix up the homes they have. Either way, Countrywide has mortgage programs to help just about anyone with good credit. What people just have to remember is that money is a tool and you have to use every tool properly.
